Designing a beautiful and safe pool area takes more than just digging a hole and filling it with water. The right tile selections can transform your outdoor space into a luxury resort-style feature.
Glass or porcelain mosaics: These are the go-to for the pool interior. They’re flexible, eye-catching, and available in a range of colours — from deep ocean blues to shimmering turquoise. Plus, they handle constant water immersion with ease.
Outdoor porcelain tiles: Using Porcelain Tiles within a pool is something new and trendy that people are starting to use, it gives a seamless look when continuing the tile to the exterior of the pool. See the image below for an example of our Tundra in this application.
Porcelain pavers: Durable, UV-stable, and low maintenance. Unlike natural stone, they don’t require sealing and won’t degrade with chlorine or salt exposure. Available in textured finishes for slip resistance and in large formats for a clean, seamless look.
Bullnose/Dropface tiles: These are specially designed coping tiles with a rounded or drop face (Right Angle Drop) edge to finish the perimeter of your pool. They are often used to match the pool pavers for a cohesive design.
Make sure you also check slip ratings, especially for pavers around pools. A minimum P4 rating is recommended for safety. And for visual wow factor, consider using LED pool lighting with lighter mosaics to amplify shimmer and depth.
